About This Place

Nestled in the heart of San Leandro, Sabino's Coffee Shop is a delightful haven for coffee and tea enthusiasts seeking both quality and comfort. This vibrant coffee shop and tea house elevates the everyday coffee run into a comforting ritual, where each cup is crafted with care and passion. Whether you're craving the rich intensity of their Single Mexican Mocha or the bold, creamy sweetness of the famed Vietnamese Iced Coffee, Sabino's promises a sensory journey that is both authentic and satisfying.

The beverage menu is thoughtfully curated, featuring everything from a robust dark French roast drip coffee to refreshing cold brew options. Espresso lovers will appreciate the diversity—from a smooth Espresso long pour to the velvety richness of a Single Caramel Latte or the uniquely delightful Sabino Chino. For those cooler days, the Hot Chocolate and Apple Cider provide warm, comforting alternatives. If you're looking for something playful and refreshing, the Frozen Granita, a frozen Italian ice, adds a fun twist to classic café offerings.

Accompanying these drinks are irresistible small bites that elevate your experience: flaky Almond Croissants that melt in your mouth, the widely praised Canyon House Gluten Free Bagel, and a variety of treats like Madeleines, Biscotti dipped in chocolate, and hearty Chocolate Chip Cookies. Every pastry is an inviting complement to your drink, providing that perfect balance of flavors and textures.

What truly makes Sabino’s Coffee Shop stand out is its welcoming, lively atmosphere that has been affectionately noted by many patrons. As customer K D beautifully put it, the shop buzzes with an “energetic” vibe, making it a perfect spot whether you’re catching up with friends or just seeking a moment of caffeinated bliss. Another regular, Damon Tighe, praises the “cozy seating” both indoors and outdoors, which invites you to linger, savor, and soak in the friendly community feel. These qualities make Sabino’s not just a stop for coffee but a destination where the staff’s genuine care and passion are palpable.

Even on the busiest days, the service remains friendly and attentive, with a straightforward menu that doesn’t overwhelm but caters perfectly to both adventurous palates and those who prefer simplicity. As Jeff Downing points out, it’s an ideal no-frills spot, where your iced drink can cool you down on a hot day before you jump back on 580 East. Livia Gambarini highlights the family-owned warmth that gives off a sense of home away from home, where every detail—from the coffee beans to the final pour—is executed with pride and precision.

In essence, Sabino’s Coffee Shop is much more than your average neighborhood café. It’s a place where handcrafted beverages meet thoughtfully selected pastries, all within a lively yet unpretentious space that embraces every visitor like family. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, stopping at Sabino’s means stepping into an experience filled with rich flavors, heartwarming service, and the comforting hum of community.

No frills coffee shop that does things right. Simple menu and drinks made as you want them to be. Stopped in for an iced drink on a hot day and it was perfect. Easy on and off of 580 East if you need a quick stop

I recently visited Sabino’s Coffee Shop, and it quickly became my favorite spot! The coffee is exceptional—each cup is rich and perfectly brewed. I especially loved their Matcha Latte and Americano. The customer service is outstanding; the baristas are friendly and genuinely care about your experience. The cozy ambiance makes it a perfect place to relax or work. Big difference coming to this family owned coffee shop vs. a corporate chain coffee shop. Thank you Sabinos - officially my favorite coffee shop!

I did a quick Google searched and Sabino’s coffee shop caught my attention. We were traveling from San Francisco toward Manteca and I’m glad we stopped here. I really enjoyed the Mexi Mocha. Definitely when we are up here visiting again, I will make sure to stop again. Thank you!
